Adam Maier

Adam joined Fulfill Education in 2026, bringing two decades of experience as an educational researcher, teacher, and thought leader. He previously spent 15 years at the national non-profit TNTP, where he led or contributed to many of the organization’s landmark research reports. Notably, Adam developed the research plan and led the data analysis and visualizations for the groundbreaking 2018 report, The Opportunity Myth. He also served as the principal investigator and sole analyst for Unlocking Algebra, a 2025 study showing the key role instructional coherence can play in accelerating learning. Throughout his time at TNTP, Adam partnered directly with states, schools, districts, and philanthropic organizations across the country to help them use complex data to answer key questions about students’ academic opportunities and develop strategies for their success.

Prior to joining Fulfill Education, Adam served as Director of Research Impact at Edmentum, helping district leaders act on student learning data and leading efforts to share the organization’s ESSA Tiers 1 and 2 research with broad audiences. He began his career as a high school math, statistics, and physics teacher. His research has been published in the Journal of Teacher Education and The Handbook of Education Policy Research, and he frequently presents at major national conferences, including the American Educational Research Association (AERA) and Harvard’s Strategic Data Project.

A lifelong Michigander, Adam holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Arts in Teaching and Curriculum from Michigan State University. He lives outside Detroit with his wife and two children.
